Mission Statement

Belcarra Beachkeepers is a volunteer stewardship program that aims to maintain a healthy intertidal ecosystem at Belcarra Regional Park in Belcarra/Port Moody. This unique partnership between Metro Vancouver and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada helps educate park visitors about intertidal creatures, fishing regulations, and beach etiquette. Volunteers also conduct a scientific crab study that provides valuable data on the crab population in Burrard Inlet.
