Volunteering with LACE can take many different forms. We need volunteers in cities across BC to get the word out in their community, as well as online. Some activities that our volunteers can expect to participate in: Spreading the word about clinic locations and hours in their community during Pap12; Organizing a volunteer outreach team in their hometown or city; Distributing flyers and information about Pap12 in their neighbourhood; Organizing an awareness event at their workplace, school or in the community; Blogging about Paps and cervical health for our LACE Campaign blog; Joining our social media team to coordinate our online presence; Gathering donations from local businesses for our Pap Awareness Week prize giveaways; Attending outreach events such as health fairs or campus info sessions!
We'll provide all the materials, training and instructions. The time commitment depends on you- it can be a few hours a week or an hour or two a month!
You get the satisfaction of helping a campaign that makes a big difference, as well as great volunteer experience, especially if you are interested in health, community, communications or advocacy! Our past volunteers have included moms, nurses, college and university students, social media pros and more!
Please apply by filling out our volunteer application form and our Outreach Team will respond to you shortly.
