Flu Immunization saves thousands of lives in Canada each year, and with H1N1 in all the news, this is going to be an active Flu Clinic season.  Join the TriCities Public Health team for some hands-on experience. Clinics start October 16, and we are taking applications until they wrap up in February.  Don't miss out on this excellent opportunity.

NEW PROGRAM: Cottonwood & Connolly Lodges - APPLY ONLINE
CVC is proud to be organizing volunteers for the Cottonwood and Connolly Lodges on the Riverview grounds.  The Lodges provide recovery-focused care for residents with severe and persistent mental illness.  The goal of the Volunteer Program is to help residents build confidence and gain skills that will help them become a part of their community.

Volunteers help Public Health Nurses manage Child Health Immunization Clinics (year-round) and Flu Clinics (during flu season).  Immunization clinics protect our most vulnerable citizens from dangerous illness, and reduce the strain on our health care system. 
 
 

 

CVC volunteers help public health nurses provide low-income pregnant woman and new mothers with moral support, education on healthy infant care, and nutritious lunches.
